Physiotherapy for Common Conditions & Injuries
A Happier, Healthier You
Do you suffer from aches and pains or have a specific injury or condition? If so then we could help you.

We provide a comprehensive assessment and carefully select and administer the appropriate treatments for many conditions and injuries. This often includes hands-on treatments such as joint mobilisations, soft tissue techniques, taping, ultrasound therapy and shockwave therapy. To help manage the problem yourself we will also prescribe therapeutic exercises and if required educate on posture, gait, ergonomics and advise on equipment. We can now refer for private MRI and ultrasound scans without the need to see your GP.

The list below provides some examples of common conditions and injuries that we could help you with:

Neck pain (with or without radiating symptoms into shoulder/arm/hand)
Lower back pain (with or without radiating symptoms into the hip/leg/foot)
Sports injuries
Whiplash
Muscle strains
Ligament sprains (common ankle and knee injury)
Tendon pain (common in ankles, shoulders, elbows, hips and knees)
Osteoarthritis (common in knees, hips and spine)
Nerve pain
Stiffness of joints and soft tissue

Pre-operative Physiotherapy
If you are scheduled to have surgery it would be beneficial to see a physiotherapist before your operation. We would provide an assessment and then advise on appropriate exercises to start prior to your surgery which may help speed up recovery.

Common surgeries where pre-op physiotherapy is beneficial:
Joint replacements (common for hips, knees and shoulders)
Spinal surgery
Tendon repair/reconstruction (common in shoulders and ankles)
Ligament repair/reconstructions (common in knees and ankles)
Other joint procedures i.e. arthroscopies, cartilage repair, decompressions)

Post-operative Physiotherapy
If you are due to have surgery or have already had surgery then it is highly recommended that you have physiotherapy to aid your recovery and to get the most from your operation. We would provide an assessment and use a combination of appropriate hands-on treatment, exercise prescription and advice.

Common procedures where physiotherapy is almost always essential:
All of the operations listed above
Fracture repair/fixation
Physiotherapy for Other Conditions
Strength, Mobility, Function, Life
We have had plenty of experience of working in hospital and community settings treating a wide range of people with different conditions.

Either in the clinic or in your own home, we can also help with mobility, falls and balance rehabilitation. This may be required due to a decline in mobility and function, for example, following an illness or a long stay in hospital.
